We are a “Country Lawyer” law firm with “City Skills”.

We strive to treat every client as if she/he/they were our only one. This means that you have 24/7 access to our contact information.

This means that we understand legal services are costly. We therefore accept credit card payments and in special cases will work out a budget for installment payments.,

This means that all our clients are “Preferred Clients”. This means that you have engaged us to help you, for reduced fee rates from the Big City Firm comparison, in return for prompt payment and with the expectation that we will treat you with respect and favor. Our standard engagement agreements provide information about and cover all aspects of our attorney-client relationship. All new clients must review, understand, and sign a new engagement agreement before we establish an attorney-client relationship. I believe in open discussion of the relationship, including fee and payment arrangements, before a new client may become a client of the firm. Our fee rates are: $500 per hour for courtroom work; $400 per hour for all other work, and I do not charge for travel time, or for casual email communications or phone calls (I want you to keep in touch!). In certain cases involving high stakes business, personal injury or wrongful death litigation we will take your case on a contingency fee arrangement. The terms depend on the nature of the case, its risks and potential rewards.

We believe in full disclosure and discussion of our relationships. If ever you may have any questions or comments, please write to us.

We also believe that our virtual environment invites internet reviews and comments. We will deeply appreciate your bringing any negative comments to us before posting them online. Internet trolling is not our thing and we hope that you think highly enough of us not to do so and, on the other hand, to post favorable reviews (if we have earned them) on Avvo.com.

There are several legal information websites I hope will be helpful to your search for a qualified attorney. We are selective in choosing our clients and believe that you should be selective in choosing your lawyer. Many internet resources, however, are not much more than popularity contests where featured lawyers may either pay for priority posting or “scratch each other’s backs” to achieve high ratings. If you have questions, give me a call. I will gladly refer you to someone I believe is the “best of the best” to serve you. If we might do so, I will say so. If not, I will suggest referral choices that do not depend upon internet guesswork.
